Wiki
Un article de PlanetForge.
A software forge should integrate a wiki tool, commonly used to capture hosted projects' knowledge base
Wikis should be available on per project base. A project may ideally manage a variable number of wikis, for separate processes, or separate software artefacts of this project, or project's subgroups, for instance.
Why not integrate everything in a single wiki for the whole forge ? : because several wikis may allow complete separation of data for confidentiality reasons (different ACL), and also to provide different lists of recent changes, different RSS feeds, and so on.
In a single wiki, many namespaces may coexist, to structure information.
Wiki tools :
- MediaWiki
- Mediawiki to docbook discussion [1]
- TWiki (integrated into PicoForge)
- Trac's wiki
- LibreSource's wiki
- PhpWiki (integrated both into GForge and Codendi ?)
- See InteropWiki
- Asciidoc (Text based document generation) as a wiki alternative [2]
